BEI
International (formerly known as BEI-Inc)
primarily builds harvesters and packing house equipment for the Blueberry
Industry. BEI is not limited to the blueberry industry as it also builds
equipment for other fruits/vegetables and specialized industrial equipment.
BEI International
got its start in Grand Junction, Michigan where its first Mechanical
Blueberry Harvester was invented in 1959. In 1970,
BEI moved to South Haven, Michigan with an expanded workforce of 30
full-time employees. In its new factory, BEI quickly expanded its product
line with harvesters for raspberries, grapes, jojoba beans,
strawberries, saskatoons, and the list of specialized agricultural
equipment continues to grow.
As we have
entered the twenty-first century, BEI is not standing still. BEI is
incorporating modern technology to improve harvesting. Most importantly,
BEI builds dependable products that earn their keep year after year.
